CMA Foundation Exam Pattern 2025
Once preparation for the CMA Foundation Course is started, it becomes important for the exam pattern to be understood clearly. Nervousness is often felt by many students simply because the pattern is not known to them. But once the simplicity of the exam is seen, a sense of relief is usually experienced. The good news is the exam is fully objective. That means no long theory, no handwriting stress, and no long essays to write. You’ll be asked MCQs (multiple-choice questions), and you just have to select the right option.
How the Exam Works for CMA Foundation Course
There are four papers in total. Each paper is for 100 marks, and you get 3 hours for each one. All four papers are conducted online, but not from home, you have to go to an exam centre and use a computer there.

- Each question carries 1 mark
- There’s no negative marking, so you can attempt every question
- You need to get at least 40 marks in each paper, and your overall score should be 50% or more
