Inventec and Renesas Electronics jointly develop automotive gateway proof-of-concept product
【Lansheng Technology News】On September 11, 2023, global high-performance server manufacturer Inventec and global semiconductor solutions provider Renesas Electronics announced today that the two parties will jointly design automotive gateway solutions for the rapidly growing electric vehicle market. Targeting Tier 1 auto parts suppliers and OEMs, the two companies will develop proof-of-concept products for interconnected gateways based on Renesas Electronics' R-Car system-on-chip.
According to the agreement, Renesas will provide Inventec with the latest R-Car SoC, analog and power products, as well as technical support to assist it in developing a new generation of in-vehicle connection gateway system PoC. The two companies will regularly share product development roadmaps, product specifications and market consultations. The first automotive gateway PoC product will integrate network security and wireless software update functions and is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2024.
