STMicroelectronics' automotive-grade micro-power op amp withstands harsh temperatures and prolongs service life
【Lansheng Technology Information】STMicroelectronics' TSU111H 5V automotive-grade operational amplifier has a low current consumption and a maximum operating temperature of 150°C, realizing a single device with multiple characteristics.
STMicroelectronics' TSU111H meets the AEC-Q100 grade zero temperature standard (-40°C to 150°C), and can withstand extreme high-temperature environments such as braking systems, exhaust systems of fuel vehicles, and fuel cell generators. In order to ensure high measurement accuracy, the temperature sensor is usually installed in the hottest area of the system, and the sensor control unit (SCU) is installed near the sensor. The maximum temperature rating of the TSU111H allows it to be installed inside a sensor control unit.
In a less extreme environment, TSU111H has a wider temperature range, taking into account the actual working conditions, the service life is three times that of the first-class device with a maximum temperature of 125°C. As a zero-level device, STMicroelectronics' new op amp can work continuously at 65°C for more than 25 years, which is the same as the life of a vehicle, while the service life of a first-level device is eight years without failure. Therefore, the TSU111H is ideal for battery management systems (BMS) in hybrid and electric vehicles, applications that are never turned off and where power consumption must be minimized.
The 1.7µA typical supply current of the TSU111H puts little load on the vehicle power supply. In addition, the output voltage is accurate to within 250µV at 25°C and to within 600µV over temperature, assuring signal conditioning with high accuracy in all applications and operating conditions. Accurate measurement in on-board charger (OBC) is one of the most representative uses of TSU111H.
