Texas Instruments Enables More Robust, More Affordable Wi-Fi® Technology for Connected IoT Applications
【Lansheng Technology Information】Texas Instruments today launched the new SimpleLink™ series of Wi-Fi 6 companion integrated circuits (ICs), which can help designers achieve high Reliable, secure and efficient Wi-Fi connection.
The first products in TI's new CC33xx family include devices that support Wi-Fi 6 only, as well as devices that support both Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth LE 5.3 connectivity in a single IC. When connected to a microcontroller or processor, the CC33xx devices enable secure Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity with reliable radio frequency (RF) performance for a variety of industrial markets, including grid infrastructure, medical and building automation.
Kevin Robinson, CEO of the Wi-Fi Alliance, said: "With the accelerated adoption of Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E, global shipments of Wi-Fi 6 devices are expected to reach 2.5 billion units in 2023. Today's Wi-Fi Fi is well suited to address a variety of industrial IoT application needs, and innovations from companies like Texas Instruments can help expand the number of applications, such as electric vehicle charging systems, smart meters, and smart appliances, that can rely on Wi-Fi in the IoT market Provides reliable, consistent, efficient connectivity."
