Workiva Appoints Barbara Larson as New Chief Financial Officer to Drive Growth and Operational Rigor

Workiva appoints Barbara Larson as its new Chief Financial Officer as it accelerates global growth and expands adoption of its secure, audit-ready, AI-powered platform.

In a major leadership move, Workiva appoints Barbara Larson as new Chief Financial Officer, naming her Executive Vice President and CFO effective January 20, 2026. Larson joins the cloud-based reporting and compliance solutions provider during a pivotal phase of global growth and expanding adoption of its secure, audit-ready, AI-powered platform.

Seasoned Financial Leader Joins Workiva

Barbara Larson brings more than two decades of financial leadership experience to Workiva, having most recently served as Chief Financial Officer at SentinelOne. Prior to that, she spent a decade in senior financial roles at Workday including its CFO where she oversaw finance, accounting, internal audit, and investor relations, and played a strategic role in business direction and product advising.

Before her tenure at Workday and SentinelOne, Larson also held senior finance positions at VMware, TIBCO Software, and Symantec. She currently serves on the board of directors at Equifax and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Arizona.

Driving Financial Strategy and Operational Excellence

As CFO, Larson will oversee Workiva’s financial strategy, operations, and planning as the company continues scaling globally. Her role includes partnering with the executive leadership team including newly appointed Chief Revenue Officer Michael Pinto to strengthen operational rigour, unlock efficiencies, and support profitable growth.

Workiva’s platform is widely adopted by finance, accounting, sustainability, risk, and audit teams at thousands of organizations worldwide, and Larson’s leadership is expected to bolster confidence among customers and investors as the company expands its footprint.

Smooth Leadership Transition

The CFO transition follows the planned departure of current finance chief Jill Klindt, whose employment will end on December 26, 2025. Workiva President and CEO Julie Iskow has been appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, effective December 27, 2025, and will serve in that role until Larson assumes the position in January.

Industry and Company Context

Workiva is a publicly traded software company known for its cloud-based connected data and reporting platform that enables greater transparency, accountability and trust across complex workflows. Organizations including over 85 % of the Fortune 1,000 rely on its technology to unify processes and empower teams in audit-ready, AI-enhanced environments.

Larson’s appointment signals a continued focus on strengthening Workiva’s financial leadership as the company drives adoption of AI-enabled solutions and navigates market expansion in 2026 and beyond.
